A powerful lion pride launches a coordinated attack on a fully grown adult buffalo out in the open plain. Several lionesses rush in first, clamping onto the buffalo’s muzzle and flanks while the heavier males leap onto its back, using their weight to drag it off balance. The buffalo struggles fiercely, bellowing and swinging its horns, but the pride’s combined strength slowly forces it to the ground. In the distance, the buffalo’s herd hears the distress calls and starts charging back, but they arrive too late
